Is my engine amenable to grooving?

How can I tell? 1965 Ford L6, 262 engine. I haven't had the head off yet, have seen`"cut-away" illustrations of the engine, and it doesn't look like it has "squish" pad area at intake valve. Pistons are "flat-tops", and valve comes in at an angle.Thanks, Jim
