I am a complete nOOb when it comes to the singh grooves. Anyone got some pointers for a beginner?

I have seen what the grooves look like and I would like some help determining the design that would work the best for my engine.

(1988 2.3 Ford N/A, lumina block, iron head)

Here is a design that I think would work best for my engine

Please if you could lend me some of your wisdom towards what works and what doesn't I would be greatly happy

Most people find it best to just start with a single groove making sure it goes to the roof and has the proper depth and width as described in other posts. Aim it at the spark and you are already done! Triangular file still works wonders. As the famous Spaniard shows you in the video, a hacksaw is actually a good way to start the cut, finish by hand and make sure to take photos and accurate 'before' measurements of mpg and oil temp.

Let us know how it goes and we'll post your story here!
