Continental eyes electrical autos as " diesel car demand declines " ???? FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) -- Continental plans to replace what it sees as an increasingly sluggish demand for diesel fuel cars with supplies to the future trend of electrical cars, board member Karl-Thomas Neumann told Handelsblatt. "Regarding diesel fuel, I'm more skeptical by now. There's not much happening in the U.S.," he said. German carmakers expect the U.S. car market to ...
KEITH CRAIN The only thing permanent is change For as long as most of us can remember, the U.S. automobile business has had cycles. Whenever there was a down cycle, you knew you had to hang in there, and before long, things would come back to normal. And then you would see the cycle head upward again. It's not going to be that simple this timeKeith Crain is publisher and editorial director of Automotive News. ...

So I have an old Italian moped know as a Cimatti Citybike, its a blast. the old topend was worn so we kitted it upto 75CC from 50CC and gained 8mph of topend speed and get to that speed much faster. the current best topspeed is 38mph on the flat, the final 3mph was gained by nearly doubling the plug gap from .025" to .040"
i have a spare stock head which i doubt i'll ever need to use, so i'm willing to carve it up in the name of science and progress. i can post a picture of the combustion chamber, if someone will tell me what and where to cut i'd be more than glad to do so (as long as theres a good concensus on what to do).
now i bet you want to know a little more about the engine itself
its a piston port 2 stroke, 75CC, 12:1 CR getting compression readings of around 180-190 PSI, 6400RPM, dont know the exact power output. it burns 93 octane gasoline with 10% alcohol and mobil1 2 stroke racing oil mixed at 16:1 for one gallon while the kits being run in well, then i'll drop it to 24:1 till i get a larger carb and better exhaust. the carb is a single jet 14mm and it runs a little on the rich side for safety.
sorry if i'm rambling a little bit, i can answer specific questions better than i introduce myself.

if you all need the portmap i'll try to get a pic of that in a few days when i'm replacing the gasket with a copper one. from the carbon buildup on the other head i have an idea of where to put one groove, but im sure with the portmap someone could come up with something better.
the exhaust port is on bottom (the head is laying as if it were on the engine, sideways), theres transfers, 2 on each side, and the intake port isnt coming into play here since its not in the combustion area.

Four to Eight grooves are not uncommon for this type of application. You could do three just to see...
The point is to increase turbulence so technically one would show some results.
The R/C crowd has done one groove with good results.
